International Art Retreats

‘One of my favourite things in my life to do is teach overseas to artists of all levels. People  from North America, New Zealand and Europe have participated in these retreats and many  have returned a number of times’.

Michelle gets very excited every time she speaks of her international art retreats of which she  has been doing since 2007. ‘The enriching experience of another culture and country is  amplified ten fold when combined with creating art. The senses are heightened. It’s that  pause and relaxation of art that truly allows you to see, smell, taste and absorb all that is  around you. And being with like minds opens the conversations of these experiences. Very  tight and enduring friendships have been bonded over the years. I absolutely love it!’

Don’t take our word for it

  • I started out skeptical because that is my nature, however my expectations and concerns were almost immediately dispelled when this group of beautiful women met us at the airport and the fun began.

I would recommend an art excursion with Michelle to anyone who loves travel and art. From a beginner in art to the most experienced the instruction and techniques learned were excellent and there was always room for your own artistic vision to come through, no judgments.

Michelle had everything organized and was with us every step of the way, there were no surprises or expectations that had not been addressed, from what should be packed to a daily literary of art and excursions. Artists get packing for the next adventure, it is worth it!

  • Out of the 6 Art Workshops I have attended this Art Retreat was undeniably the best experience I’ve had thus far. The group of women had an instant connection as if we had all been long time friends. I loved Massa Lubrense!!!

I often thought how I would love to live there. So clean, friendly and beautiful. The family-operated Agriturismo could not have been more accommodating, loving and enthusiasts of the culinary arts. I have missed our gourmet meals and our 6:00 pm Prosecco Happy Hours! I look forward to joining the next Art Retreat hosted by Michelle Miller, our most dynamic Art Instructor!

  • I attended your workshop as a “plus one” for my friend that was painting. Watching all the artists and watching your method of instruction has inspired me to attempt a workshop. Your step by step instruction has lead me to believe that I too can paint!

There was amazing camaraderie amongst the painters who inspired each other to stretch their skill levels and I know that I would be inspired by other participants if I was to attend another retreat as a painter.
